Show your solidarity and Walk With Women this February to raise funds for vital ovarian cancer research.

Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynaecological cancer, taking the life of one woman every eight hours. With no early detection test and very few treatment options, research is essential to improving survival outcomes.

How it works

Register for the virtual Walk With Women and choose a day, week or time of your choosing during February 2022, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, to complete your walk and fundraise.

You may choose to challenge yourself to 30km in one day, or 100km over the month – whatever your challenge, you can raise awareness and importantly, raise funds to support ongoing research.

Where the money goes

The OCRF is the leading non-government funder of ovarian cancer research in Australia. We fund innovative ovarian cancer research with the potential to have the greatest impact for the greatest number of women and girls. The money you raise has a direct impact on the breadth of research we can fund, and on the time we can fund them for. The more you raise, the more grants we can offer to Australia’s best ovarian cancer research scientists, who are taking the fight to ovarian cancer in the lab.

The story behind the Walk

OCRF Ambassador and ovarian cancer advocate, Helen Powell, created the Walk to raise awareness, and more importantly, raise funds for ovarian cancer research. In 2020, Helen passed away, but her legacy, and that of the Walk With Women, will continue.
